Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I’d love to meet

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s theme is authors I’d love to meet. This one is a bit of a challenge for me as I have met a lot of authors already. So I will share some cute photos I have with cool authors and one that I am still waiting to meet. Side bonus, you get to see how my hair has changed over the past few years. xD

1. George RR Martin

: I met GRRM at SDCC a few years ago, yes I did cosplay Danaerys that year.

2. Stan Lee

: Another SDCC sighting, I was dressed as Doctor Strange this time.

3 & 4. Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman

: I met these lovely folks just a few months after starting my Bookstagram.

5. Brandon Sanderson

: Very exciting day when I met Brandon Sanderson with my boyfriend Shane!

6. Victoria Schwab

: Got to chat with Schwab for a long time at Wondercon last year.

7. Laini Taylor

: Also met Laini Taylor there!

8. Leigh Bardugo

: I was a Lion xD

I met Leigh a few times! The first was at Yallwest, this was at SDCC in 2017.

: Another SDCC meet up!

10. Samantha Shannon

At last we come to an author I have not yet had the joy to meet. I am hoping she does a US tour for Priory of the Orange Tree so I can get my arc signed and just gush about how amazing her brain is. I’m certainly not opposed to going to London to meet her someday but that may not happen for a long long time. Maybe for book 7 of The Bone Season series!
