It’s hard to believe how quickly time is passing me by right now. It seems like Yallwest was just here, and now I’m looking forward to the bookish goings on at SDCC. There are quite a number of books I’m expecting to see in San Diego this year, but there is one upcoming title in particular I’ve been thinking a lot about today. I picked up the first book in this series last summer, and I fell in love with it. The atmosphere, the dark academia vibes, and the pure villain energy of the book all stole my heart. The follow up will be on shelves in a few short months, but I’m hoping I can get it early!
Bid my Soul Farewell

This brilliant series by Beth Revis promises to be one of my favorites of all time. It is one of those books I will never stop recommending to people. It has everything I love, plague, alchemy, cleverness, and a lack of attention to romance. I cannot wait to see what my dear Nedra has been up to, and I’m looking forward to a reread soon. I also think this book will look dead sexy (heh) with some red pages and black runes.
If you haven’t picked up the first book in this series, Give the Dark my Love, you can read my full review right now. It is truly a cut above other YA novels I’ve read over the past year and I am so excited to see what Beth Revis will write next!
Let me know if you’ve read Give the Dark my Love! I need more people to chat with about it. Or, let me know if you have any recommendations for similar titles. Thanks for reading, and happy Wednesday!
I can’t wait for this book! The first one was great and there are not enough books with necromancy.
